On February 20, 2025, the Village Vanguard hosted a remarkable performance by the ensemble Sound Creation, featuring guitarist Jakob Bro and saxophonist Joe Lovano. This collaboration was a tribute to the late drummer Paul Motian, with whom both Bro and Lovano had longstanding associations.
